Did you know that you could be committing a FELONY
Odds are, if you are on this page you were recently released from jail after being arrested and charged with a DUI and are still reeling from the ride to jail in handcuffs. You’re also likely wondering if you could go to JAIL? Or worse you could be charged with a FELONY.
It’s also likely you have been flooded with letters from attorneys saying they can help you. The problem with that is—how do you know who’s best for the job if you don’t know what to look for or what questions to ask? Instead of saying I can help you, I want to help you answer some of the important questions going through your mind.
First, though I want to tell you to stop beating up on yourself. We can’t change the past but we can minimize the impact this has on your future if you act quickly and with clear direction!
I know you’re afraid. I know you’re worried and wondering how could this get any worse.
In Missouri, the City of Eureka is in an area where there are numerous DUI/DWI Arrests. Whether you were driving on Highway 44, Highway 109 or some other main road in Eureka, the police are always hunting for impaired drivers. If you get pulled over for speeding, or some other traffic violation, odds are, especially if it’s after dark, the police officer is going to be checking to see if you’re impaired or had anything to drink, smoke, or have taken any medications without a prescription or OTC.
The first thing the officer will do is ask for your driver’s license and proof of insurance. From there, the police officer will ask: “Where are you coming from and if you have been drinking?” It only goes downhill from there. Next, you’re asked to step out of your car and do Field Sobriety Tests. In more than 20 years of focusing on DUI’s most of my clients always believe they passed these tests.
The next thing you’re told is to blow into this breath test device. And you’re likely told that if you pass this test, the officer will let you go home. If you were smart, you said: NO then the threats came out and you were told “An innocent person would take the test.”, and “If you didn’t have anything to hide so why won’t you take the test?” Either way, at this point, you’re likely going to be arrested and face the long humiliating ride to jail in handcuffs. After spending a few hours in a jail cell, You are thinking to yourself, “What is going on? This can’t be happening to me!”
When you are released, the police officer gives you a DWI ticket, and a white piece of paper and tells you that your drivers license is going to be suspended in 15 days.
What do you do now? You have NO TIME TO LOSE, if you don’t act quickly, you will not only lose your ability to drive but you could be committing a FELONY. You have as little as FIFTEEN DAYS before your ability to drive is LOST for a minimum of SIX MONTHS.
The most important questions you need to BE ASKING yourself ARE…
-
Who should I call for the Best DWI Defense help in Eureka, MO?
-
Which experienced City of Eureka MO DWI Defense Lawyer will fight hard to keep you from being convicted of the DWI Charge?
-
Which knowledgeable Eureka MO DWI Lawyer will fight hard to keep me from losing my ability to drive?
The answer to all of these questions is the same:
You want the attorney who wrote the book that EVERY OTHER ATTORNEY you’re going to talk to as well as the JUDGES THAT WILL BE HEARING your case use to DETERMINE what law is.
You want someone who is an Instructor on the NHTSA DWI Detection and Standardized Field Sobriety Testing and knows not only what the officers should do and How they Should do it. But more IMPORTANTLY, where the mistakes were made;
You want someone trained on the breath testing machines that the officers use to test a person’s Blood and Breath Alcohol Content which means I know where errors mistakes will occur.
With over 20 years of legal experience, I know how a DWI Charge can ruin your life. Most people are under the impression that there is no way to beat a DWI. This is a mistake. Because of both my familiarity with the Field Sobriety Testing and the accuracy requirements and instrument verifications such as the proper calibration and verification of the calibration which is so critical in most DUI’s because of the scientific and technical nature of blood and breath testing. I have a more comprehensive understanding of the entire DUI encounter and can tell you these charges are beatable.
To stand any chance though you need a DWI Defense Lawyer who is willing to do more than just plead you guilty. You need a lawyer who will turn over every stone and look into ALL the facts, and ALL the details in your case as opposed to just take your money and plead you guilty.
